I am definitely not OLD, but I truly miss some of our older tech!
One of those pieces of tech is a traditional telephone. I just love holding it in my hand, playing with the cord using my fingertips and hearing the “Kliing” sound every time I set it down on the desk or table.
I couldn’t resist when I saw one at a flea market a few weeks ago. It was exactly that yellow color (a yellow that isn’t really yellow and isn’t particularly pretty) that I remember from my youth, and when the guy selling it only wanted a couple of euros, I paid without haggling and walked away with a huge smile on my face.
After a cleaning session, it looked brand new and I decided not to hide such a thing of beauty, but to put it right where it belonged.
On the side table next to the kitchen table.
EXACTLY as it used to be!
I was also very happy when Hubby got home and started acting like a kid around itβplaying with the dial, pretending to talk, and showing exactly how he used to hold it with his neck while lying on the sofa watching MTV and talking to his friends.
To make a long story short, our new phone quickly became a really nice addition to the apartment, and it is something a lot of our visitors love to play with.
BUT HEY, IS THIS A BLOG ABOUT INTERIOR DESIGN OR SENSUAL, NAUGHTY THOUGHTS???
Dear, dear reader, I am so sorry for leaving the subject promised by the title for such minor things as nostalgia. π
But nostalgia this is…
And a HOT one.
I woke up the other day rather late. I was all alone in the apartment and decided to treat myself to a bit of “me” time in bed before getting up and starting the day.
But due to natural causes, I had to make a quick pit stop in the bathroom.
So, walking there in my underwear, I passed the phone…
Something happened.
It was almost like a small flash and a tingling sensation in my stomach.
After the pit stop, I walked back up to it, AND that is when it hit me!
I had been transported back in time. Back to a memory of one of the hottest phone calls I have ever had.
Back to an era when it was only the voice of the person on the other end that made “phone sex” what it was. An era when your own imagination was just as important in the moment as your senses.
The voice on the other end making my mind draw pictures of what we were doing and feeling. The sensation of the cord wrapping around my body as I rolled and turned while talking AND listening. And that lustful moment when both of us reached the top of the mountain and just rolled back down, panting for air but still talking on the phone.
You have probably figured out by now that I did not return to bed.
There was no point.
The moment was right there.
And right there, at the end of memory lane, nostalgia and imagination gave me exactly what I had been looking for.
It was amazing, fantastic and absolutely…
“KLIIING!”
Conclusion
I will never again say no if I get the question:
“Do you want to go to a flea market?”
The day I bought my new friend was a very damp and boring day, and I almost turned down the suggestion.
That, my friend, will never, ever happen again.
Because at this moment, all app-controlled toys with AI, vibrators and disco lights can go hide themselves.
I HAVE MY PHONE!!
As for giving it kisses, it is easy in this case:
Old phone β 7 kisses out of 5
πππππππ
Until we meet again,
Angelina
